Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach is a city in Sussex county in Delaware. The town is often known as the “The Nation's Summer Capital” as it is frequently treated as the destination for summer vacation for the residents of Washington D.C. A nonstop parade of motels and shopping malls along the six miles of Hwy-1 links Lewes with Rehoboth Beach. This is Delaware's largest and liveliest beach resort, which merges into Dewey Beach at its southern end. The beach remains crowded all summer, but nearly empty for the rest of the year. Rehoboth is more family oriented than other beach towns of the nation. Rehoboth obviously lacks the vibrant nightlife of Ocean City but it is well compensated with miles of clean and uncrowded sands.
Rehoboth has less of a history than Lewes, though its wooden boardwalk is one of the last on the east coast. It stretches along the Atlantic on either side of Rehoboth Avenue. Its four short blocks are clogged with souvenir shoppers browsing though an array of T-shirts and seaside ostentatious. Rehoboth Beach is located only two hours from Washington DC. The town is famous for its hospitality and beautiful beaches. The town has all the characteristics of a genuine small town.
